Some families may be entitled to claim 15 hours ‘Free for 2 Funding’ from the term following their child’s second birthday.

A child is eligible if:

They come within the criteria used to determine eligibility for Free School Meals

Their families receive Working Tax Credits and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190 per year

Their families receive Universal Credit and have an annual net income of no more than £15,400

They have a current statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education, Health and care plan

They are entitled to Disability Living Allowance
-
They are looked after by a local authority
-
They are no longer looked after by the local authority as a result of an adoption order, a special guardianship order or a child arrangements order which specifies with whom the child lives.

15 hours universal funding
All children are entitled to claim 15 hours universal funding from the term following their third birthday.

15 hours free childcare funding is offered as one full day and one half day or a mix of morning and afternoon sessions depending on availability.

You can get:
- 15 hours a week if your child is 9 months to 2 years old
- 30 hours a week if your child is 3 to 4 years old
A child qualifies for this entitlement if:

Both parents are working and each parent earns, on average, a weekly minimum equivalent to 16 hours (National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage) and less than £100k a year.

The sole parent in a lone parent family is working and earns, on average, a weekly minimum equivalent to 16 hours (National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage) and less than £100k a year.
To get the additional hours, you will need to sign up online to get an eligibility code. You'll also need to reconfirm your eligibility every 3 months.
You must apply for a code by the end of the month before a new term starts. For example, if the term starts on 1 September, you must apply by 31 August. Providers may ask for a code before this deadline.

The maximum amount of funding hours that can be claimed per day is 10 hours.
We only offer 30 hours funding as three full days, 7:30am - 5:30pm.
We only offer 15 hours funding for 2-year-olds as either one full day (7:30am-5:30pm) or as three half day sessions, depending on availability.
We offer the 15 hours for 9 months+ in our Baby Room as one full day (7:30am - 5:30pm) and one morning session (7:30am - 12:30pm). However, this is limited and subject to availability.
